Race Description

The start is from the Tourism Office in Route de Sélestat. The first kilometers are quite fast, between asphalt and paved roads. After about 2.5 km, it starts the first uphill and it continues for the next 5 kilometers, first on a forest road and secondly along a footpath into the wood, until reaching about a panoramic point at 530 m. The first downhill leads to the first refreshment point at Montagnes des Singes.

The next section of about 3km is still downhill, relatively fast. At its bottom, it begins the second long uphill section, which brings all the runners to the Chateau of Haut-Koenigsburg. Few steps and it is possible to enter the castle surrounded by several actors and actresses, dressed in medieval clothes. Wonderful atmosphere.

After leaving the castle, a long and fast downhill leads to the third refreshment point at km 21. The last part of the route is along a footpath next to the vineyards, before arriving again to the paved road that leads to the finish line in Rue de la Liberte´.
