Event Description
This is a team event launched in 2021 by RheingauSport rheingausport.de, proposing a “virtual” format due to the pandemic situation caused by Covid-19.
The event is characterized by the following specific rules:
- Register by sending a message to the organizer with information about name and age of the runners
- Run as a team made by 2 components along the tracks of Rheingausport Tour Honigberg
- Run between 20.03 and 03.04.2021 without any limitation in terms of repetitions
- Run using as an appropriate app to document it
- Make three photos of the team: one at the start, one during the run, one at the end
The final time is subsequently reduced according to the following rules:
- Sum of the years above 80, bonus = 1 minute
- Sum of the years above 100. bonus = 2 minutes
- Sum of the years above 120, bonus = 4 minutes
- Sum of the years above 140, bonus = 8 minutes
- Mixed team (one man, one women), bonus = 1 minute
- Women team, bonus = 2 minutes
- Team with dog, bonus = 4 minutes
As in 2020 (Virtual Races | EmigranTrailer), given the impossibility or difficullty to attend official competitions, I decided to take part to this event created by Marcus-Rheingausport: I believe that these events are a good approach to keep the bonds alive, even at a distance, between people with the same passions.
Therefore, in the last weekend of March, myself and Thomas decided to challenge ourself in this Team event.
